Resolving disputes creatively

Frankel and husband still working toward divorce agreement

Couples in New York understand that marital problems can become life-altering. Most like to keep these issues private, but this is not easily done for high-profile couples. Often, the media and tabloids will cover their marital problems. This could lead to complex issues while the celebrity couple deals with their high-asset divorce.

Talk show host Bethenny Frankel is still dealing with an unsettled divorce with her husband, Jason Hoppy. They filed for divorce over a year ago, but the two cannot reach an agreement due to their disputes surrounding the custody of their young daughter.

Both Frankel and Hoppy have been living together in New York with their daughter. Although this allows their daughter to have adequate time with both parents, remaining in the same household could be fairly problematic. Frankel has reportedly moved on and has been dating even though her estranged husband is still living with her.

With regards to their assets and property, the two have been able to settle those issues already. Property division and asset distribution has not been the difficult part of their divorce. Child custody has remained to be the focal point and what has prevented the two from reaching a divorce agreement. Jason Hoppy continues to fight for custody, while Frankel is seeking full custody of their daughter.

High asset divorces are not only complex because of the property and assets the couple has. Being a high-profile couple can cause many complications with various divorce issues. Those struggling with reaching a divorce agreement should seek advice about their situation so they can take appropriate action.
